How do I get started?
Easy, just register! You don’t need anything to register - that’s the first step
After you have registered, and to accept jobs and start work, you will need to register with HMRC so that any money you make through your AtHome portal can be declared.
It’s simple to do this, it takes around 30 mins to register as self-employed with HMRC or you can get an accountant to do it for you. You can read an overview on going self-employed here.
A DBS is simply a background check. If you don’t yet have DBS, we can help you apply for a BASIC DBS for COMPANIONS HERE. This is a personal document that will stay with you for any other work you need it for such as working with children or vulnerable adults in other settings.
Once you have onboarded with us, you will start receiving jobs according to your preferences and you can accept the jobs you want on your terms and manage your role with your client diretly.
